L M Cline's had the pleasure of also updating the dinning room for this client. The client felt the dinning room was not as glamorous as the rest of her home after the transformation and asked if we could make subtle changes and work with the paint colors already in the room. By changing a few elements within the room, the entire space transformed from dark and uninspiring to warm and welcoming with a glamorous style that would be inviting for any casual or elegant dinner party.
To begin with we removed the eggplant colored window treatments in an 84" (standard size) length and added these beautifully lined 95" gold toned drapes with a hint of the eggplant along with the burgundy accents (we tried very hard to find a happy medium and incorporate colors the homeowner had previously used). By raising the window treatments and removing the valance along with lightening the color in the window treatments it made the space appear larger. It also brightened the room considerably. We also worked with the table runner the client owned previously and added decorative elements to the table incorporating the color scheme of the room. Before you will see the client had beautiful china that was not displayed. Even with the china having a pattern in a different color we were able to showcase the pieces and work with them allowing them a fixed space in the room. Previously the pictures flanking the hutch were on the walls next to the cased opening going into the foyer. We replaced the frames from a dark wood which allowed the pictures to be lost on the wall and updated them with golden toned frames. These frames enhanced the hues in the pictures allowing the eye to be drawn around the room peacefully. The client had strong ties to the actual pictures, but not the frames being they were family heirlooms given to them by their grandparents. Along with the pictures having strong sentimental value, they also depict the clients strong roots in their faith. By adding a little artwork and a few scones to the room, the space changed dramatically.
I hope your journey through the transformed rooms of their home has been enjoyable. This will be the last transformation done in this home by L M Cline's, LLC. Our next post will move you to an entirely different home with a more modern style in very different color schemes.
As always, we encourage you to draw all your strength from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. "God, make a fresh start in me, shape a Genesis week from the chaos of my life." Psalm 51:10
Until the next post.... Lisa M. Cline
