So here we are again....at the front door. WELCOME! Does this entry way just not look so inviting? It is very warm and welcoming to everyone. Again, this client had the majority of the decor seen from another home with the exception of the new foyer table and lamp.
For some strange reason I neglected to get "Before" Photos of this entry way. The wall color was a buttery cream/yellow color and did not have any texture on the walls. The clients husband worked very hard throughout the upstairs to remove the textured popcorn ceiling so it could be updated and modernized with the California Knockdown treatment. So after all the removal was completed we textured the ceilings and walls. For those of you who are not familiar with this treatment...it is very durable and helps hide any imperfections in your ceilings or walls. This treatment wears very well especially if you have young children. Any dent, ding, or "oops" that happens is easily repaired and goes unnoticed after a touch-up with joint compound and paint.
The ceiling was painted with Valspar contractor white and the walls received a healthy dose of primer by Glidden. The client chose a very calming color that added to the flow of the home. (At times the color actually appears to be a different color in the daylight and night.) The color she chose was Benjamin Moore Flowering Herbs, #514 in an eggshell finish. The baseboards and crown molding received a fresh coat of standard white semi-gloss paint by Benjamin Moore.
This client was very instrumental in her placement of decor. Her color scheme throughout the home is mostly black and green with little pops of orange. We were in Hobby Lobby looking for a lamp when she came across this lamp. I adore it. It really helps with bringing in the color. When the lamp is off it has a cheetah print with the khaki color very evident in the shade, however, when you turn the light on, the shade takes on a amber color with the print. How perfect is that for the pop of orange?
These clients are very excited first time homeowners. They graciously allowed L M Cline's, LLC take part in this home remodel and makeover. It was a very wonderful experience to be a part of...watching a house transform into a home.
There is nothing, nothing at all that the Lord cannot achieve through you and/or your home. May your life be a constant reflection of the Love He has for you in your everyday life through your actions. They say home is where the heart is....May your heart be full of love that reflects the light of our Dear Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Until the next post... Lisa M. Cline
